The folks over at Hennessey Performance finally posted a video of their supercharged 2014 Chevrolet SS doing the quarter mile.
Enhanced by the company’s familiar HPE600 package, fitted with drag radial tires and running on 93 octane pump fuel, the supercharged sedan needed less than 12 seconds to complete the quarter mile, crossing the line after 11.84 seconds at 117 miles per hour.
This makes it faster than Hennessey’s stock 2014 Corvette Stingray, which pulled a 12.23-second run, but it poses no threat to the 9-second C7 we’ve seen from Late Model Racecraft last year.
In case you missed it, Hennessey took the 2014 Chevrolet SS on the Grand Parkway toll road last month, where the rear-wheel drive sedan was accelerated up to its 163 mph electronically-limited top speed.
