GTA VI developers really don't have to do much imaginative work. The real world is inspiring enough. But unlike in video games, doing some mildly dangerous things without proper paperwork can result in jail time and federal charges. This YouTuber now knows it too well.
Every YouTuber grapples with the challenge of creating viral content. More views equals more ad revenue, and that's what you want as an independent content creator. The more funds pour in, the more you can do to keep subscribers entertained and gain new audiences.

Last summer, YouTuber Alex Choi uploaded a highly entertaining video featuring his very tried-and-tested Lamborghini Huracan, a helicopter, two women in "tacticool" gear, and fireworks. The footage was shot at California's El Mirage Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Recreation Area.

In this particular case, the YouTuber decided to use his modified Lamborghini Huracan as a target for a helicopter loaded with fireworks. The team involved in the creation of this video probably wanted to put a supercar at the center of a war- or action movie-like scenario, where the protagonist tries to escape the superior means of transportation's wrath, which is the helicopter.

But they also put fireworks on the Huracan, which had a dedicated "Fire Missile" button inside. The crew probably wanted to give the audience the idea that the Lambo could fight back.

It's worth noting that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), which manages the El Mirage OHV recreation area, clearly and transparently states that everyone present there must comply with California's rules and regulations and, among others, must not do donuts or drift in the deserted area that was once a lake. BLM also says that it is illegal to "possess and/or discharge fireworks."
Since this is a popular location with movie professionals, filming a stunt requires a special permit that can be expensive.

People familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations say that flying a helicopter in a remote area isn't an optimal way of avoiding the Federal Aviation Administration's rules. Also, they point out that carrying fireworks in an aircraft isn't illegal if they are packed and stored according to regulations. However, mounting them on the helicopter and having someone igniting and actively shooting them from said aircraft at a target can quickly become a serious offense.

The YouTuber has been arrested and formally charged with causing the placement of an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in a federal penitentiary.

Alex Choi is also investigated by the United States Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Fireworks are illegal in California, and the prosecuting team believes the YouTuber bought them in Nevada and brought them to the Golden State.

Assistant United States Attorney Dominique Caamano also pointed out that the stunt only ended because the people involved in the shooting ran out of fireworks. Allegedly, Choi admitted that on camera and said that he directed the whole thing.

The footage has since been deleted. However, as most people already know, what's on the internet remains on the internet. That's why you can see a short summary of what transpired below.

The US Attorney's Office says in the attached press release that Alex Choi is presumed innocent "unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law."

Car shows on TV and his father's Fiat Tempra may have been Florin's early influences, but nowadays he favors different things, like the power of an F-150 Raptor. He'll never be able to ignore the shape of a Ferrari though, especially a yellow one.
