Hyundai is trying to encourage customers to go electric and offers them a complimentary home charger for free and up to $600 off installation.
To stimulate EV sales in the United States, Hyundai has come up with several perks for those who are considering getting a car that does not come with an internal combustion engine, but are worried about their charging options.

The Asian carmaker offers a home charger and a discount on installation to those who buy or lease a 2023 or 2024 Ioniq 5, 2023 or 2024 Ioniq 6 or 2023 Hyundai Kona electric through Hyundai Motor Finance between September 21 and October 31, 2023.

The most affordable of the models is the Kona Electric, which starts at $33,550. Regardless of the trim selected, it is powered by an electric motor that generates 201 horsepower (204 PS). The Kona can drive up to 258 miles, according to the EPA standard, before it needs to be plugged in again.

Upper in the electric lineup, there is the Ioniq 5, which starts at $41,450. This amount of money brings a car with 168 horsepower (228 PS) and a range of 220 miles. There is also an all-wheel drive version with 114 horsepower (228 PS) and a range of 220 miles.

For the Ioniq 6, customers will have to pay a price starting with $41,600, which brings them 149 horsepower (151 PS). The dual-motor version gets 225 horsepower (228 PS) in an all-wheel drive setup. The owners can cover as much as 361 miles on a single charge.

Once customers buy one of these models, they will receive a coupon code within 10 days. After that, they have 90 days to schedule the installation of the complimentary ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV charger. Otherwise, they would have to pay $549 for it.

They are also getting up to $600 off the installation price, which depends on the setup of the home electrical network, the positioning of the charger and the distance from the network to the charger. That translates into the total value of the offer to more than $1,100.

All that customers have to do after the purchase or lease of the car is register on the Hyundai Home Marketplace and input the coupon code. They will subsequently be connected with a dedicated Energy Advisor at Electrum via Hyundai Home, who will guide them through the charger installation procedure.

Hyundai Home is specifically designed to help customers live more sustainable lives, lower their energy bills, and make homes less dependent on the electricity network, while getting energy from solar panels, various energy storage systems, and even electric vehicle chargers.

Hyundai also offers new EV buyers access to two years of complimentary Electrify America charging.
