The 1962 model year introduced several notable changes to the LeSabre lineup, and one of the most important was the lineup that no longer included a station wagon and a convertible.
Buyers who walked into an Buick dealership to order a LeSabre could choose from two- and four-door sedans and hardtops.

Despite all these changes, the LeSabre continued to sell like hotcakes, with production numbers surpassing the 113,000 units sold in 1961.

The four-door LeSabre that landed on Craigslist a few days ago checks many boxes for a restoration candidate, though the car could also be turned into a fancy daily driver with fewer changes. The car looks like it's been sitting for a while, but the 401 V8 under the hood still starts and runs properly.

The 401 V8 was standard with 280 horsepower, but Buick also offered two more options. The 265-horsepower unit was aimed at people not necessarily interested in the top performance on their LeSabre, while the 325-horsepower configuration was exactly the opposite, offering more adrenaline behind the wheel.

We're not getting many specifics about this LeSabre, but the owner says the car was found in a barn – I'd love to hear more about this part, so make sure you contact the owner and discuss all the details before committing to a purchase. One key detail is how many years the car has been sitting off the road and whether it's been sleeping inside.

The photos suggest the LeSabre is still solid, so I doubt it's been parked outside. However, you should still put the car on a lift and inspect the undersides.

The car has already received several fixes, including a new carpet kit, so one of the tidbits that must be clarified is whether the Buick is still original. A 1962 LeSabre that spent its entire life with the same owner, was pulled from a barn, and is still original is typically a desirable collectible.

The odometer indicates 76,000 miles, so the car didn't spend much time on the road. This is the original mileage, the owner explains, and considering the time in storage and its excellent condition, the LeSabre is definitely worth checking out, not only for a collection but also for someone who wants a fancy occasional driver.

The selling price is a bit too optimistic, considering the lack of information, but it could make more sense once you contact the owner and ask all the big questions. The owner will let this LeSabre go for $6,000, and the buyer should theoretically drive it home on its wheels if they don't live far from Lakewood, Colorado. However, taking the car on a trailer is probably the better option, considering the long time off the road.
