One woman from Pittsburgh was attacked by another woman she didn’t know and had her car damaged with cans of SpaghettiOs. The female assailant has been arrested and charged.
The victim told the police that she pulled into a parking lot to meet with a man she had spoken on the phone with, so he could give her money to provide for their children. She never got to see the man, presumably her ex, because she was attacked by another woman armed with several cans of SpaghettiOs and a knife, and she sought refuge into her car.
According to Action4News, the victim told the cops that the other woman started throwing the cans at the car the moment they made eye contact. When the victim tried to stop her, the assailant pulled a knife on her, slashing at her until she cut her on the hands.
The victim managed to get away and, in the scuffle, took the assailant’s purse with her. She showed it to the police when she filed the report, which led to the assailant’s identification: she is 59-year-old Eileen Gettleman, but the report doesn’t mention what her connection to the victim or the victim’s ex might be.
“Police said the victim’s vehicle had a broken back window, multiple dents and was smeared with red sauce and pieces of pasta,” Action4News says. “Police said they reviewed surveillance video which appeared to show several other people involved in the incident, including a man who was apparently also throwing cans of SpaghettiOs.”
Gettleman was charged with aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy, but police are still working to identify the other people caught on surveillance camera footage pelting the car with the cans. Other the injury to her fingers, the victim didn’t receive further injuries in the attack.
