A woman was seen driving the Tesla Cybertruck in the Principality of Monaco, but is the EV even legal over there? As far as we know, the Cybertruck can't drive on public roads in Europe. A hotel valet would agree.
The woman was spotted driving the Cybertruck in Monte Carlo, Monaco, as she was making her way to the famous Casino. A Rolls-Royce Cullinan drove behind her. The vehicle had no license plate at the front but had one at the rear that indicated it was registered in Florida.

So, the owner shipped it all the way from Europe, either by ship or plane. We have seen a Cybertruck being sent by plane to a destination outside the United States before, so that is not so uncommon. But that one went to Qatar, where the Cybertruck is street-legal.

However, in Europe, it is not. Its design, which is full of sharp edges, as well as its weight and size, made the European Commission label it as unsafe for pedestrians and inappropriate for the European roads. So, Tesla will probably not resort to a radical change in terms of design and will most likely skip the European market.

We have seen the Cybertruck driving in Europe before. An example was spotted driving in Copenhagen, Denmark. The vehicle was probably heading to its exhibition venue. The model was in Denmark as part of its world tour that Tesla calls "Cybertruck Odyssey." As part of the tour, the electric pickup truck spends three days in Bucharest, Romania, before going to Frankfurt, Germany.

The Cybertruck spotted in Monaco wears a black satin wrap that makes it even more of a head-turner than it already was. The "Foundation Series" lettering can be seen on the front fenders. The woman pulls over in front of a luxury restaurant, located right next to the Monte Carlo Casino and walks away with her female friend.

A valet gets behind the steering wheel and drives off to park the Cybertruck. But he is probably not used to the steer by wire, so he seems surprised by the way the wheels turn. He remains composed, which makes us suspect that he might as well show off in an attempt to get some extra attention as if the Cybertruck would not get everyone staring already.

The Prince of Monaco drove the Tesla Cybertruck, too

People who walk past the vehicle take their phones out to photograph or film it. It is not every day that you get to see a Cybertruck on the roads in Europe, where it is not legal until the European Commission says it is.

Earlier this month, Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck right at this spot, in front of Casino de Monaco, with Royal Highness Albert II, Prince of Monaco, being present at the event.

He was also seen driving the "oh-so-illegal-in-Europe" Cybertruck. So, the European authorities really need to figure out whether this American colossus can drive there or not.
