Wiesmann Roadster MF4 Unveiled, First Pictures Inside

German car manufacturer Wiesmann today showcased its new Roadster MF4 model along with the technical specifications list and pricing information. In essence, the new soft-top will offer a choice of two engines, as it follows: a high-torque 4.8-liter V8 engine that develops a maximum power of 367 hp (270 kW) - the same as the one installed on Wiesmann Roadster MF4-S - plus a 4.0-liter V8 unit producing 420 hp (309 kW).

Engine performances are at least impressive: with a maximum torque of 400 Nm, the vehicle is catapulted from 0 to 100 km/h in no less than 4.4 seconds, with maximum speed rated at 300 km/h (186 mph). This is the first time when the German manufacturer offers two different engine configurations for a single model, the company said in a statement for the press.

"For safety purposes the Wiesmann Roadster MF4 is based upon a stiff aluminum monocoque chassis with integrated side impact bars and is equipped with driver and passenger airbags as well as series standard ABS that functions in combination with a dynamic stability control (DSC) system," Wiesmann explained in a statement for the press.

In terms of transmissions, the new Roadster MF4 provides two configurations, a manual and sport automatic unit plus a 7-speed double clutch system exclusively available for the 420 hp version.

As you can see in the adjacent photos, the front end boasts a large radiator grille with circular xenon headlights. The so-called "athletic appearance" is further enhanced with twin exhaust.

"The sensational appearance of this pedigree sports car however is not solely derived from a design intended to please the eye: Aerodynamics, perfect weight distribution and details crafted by hand underline the technical perfection of it’s development. This of course is with out mentioning the famous individuality a Wiesmann conveys," the German automaker continued its compliments to the model appearance.

The Wiesmann Roadster MF4 is not even close to being affordable as the a "standard generously equipped" mode costs 128,000 euros, but there's no information on the equipment level featured by this version.
