In the world of Porsche 911 GT3 RS owners, there are people who wipe their feet before climbing into their cars and then there are folks who fully dip into the 911's practicality, which is how we end up with images such as the one above.
So, what drives a man to use one of these track-savvy Zuffenhausen machines as a winter beater? Well, apparently, having another Porsche in your garage has a serious influence when it comes to making such decisions. Especially if that other car is a 918 Spyder.
According to Redditor bigcatstins, the GT3 RS in these photos belongs to Todd Pederson, the CEO of Vivint, a company that handles home security, automation and energy management in the US, Canada and New Zealand.
"This is the CEO of Vivint, Todd Pederson's car. [...] his 918 Spyder. Just to name a few of his $200k+ cars haha. Dude is insanely rich and surprisingly nice. Source-worked at Vivint for a summer," bigcatstints explains.
Now, if we follow this lead, we see ourselves forced to talk about Todd's ascension. He is the kind of successful man who started from the bottom, namely selling pest control products and then burglar alarms on a door-to-door basis.
One thing led to another and Todd started developing home automation strategies, with the company he had started along the way changing its name to Vivint. While the firm was acquired by the Blackstone Group, the man was kept in the CEO seat.
Todd lives in Utah so, if this is his GT3 RS indeed, we also have a name for the white background of the images.
Since we're talking about the sharpest member of the current 911 line-up, seeing snow sticking to that front splitter only makes us imagine this driver knows a thing or two about self-control. Sorry, we meant to say car control.
