Stellantis is on a roll with the electrified lifestyle, even if only marginally – in Europe, they have new stuff like the Jeep Avenger 4xe, Fiat 600e, or the recent Lancia Ypsilon HF boasting 237 horsepower. Meanwhile, in the United States, Dodge is leading the charge with the plug-in hybrid Hornet and the upcoming Charger Daytona.
What about the premium brands? Well, Stellantis surely has major plans for Alfa Romeo, which has gone from a two-model brand that hadn't presented a new nameplate in half a decade to sporting the refreshed Giulia sedan and Stelvio crossover SUV alongside the plug-in hybrid Tonale compact crossover SUV, a flagship limited series 33 Stradale rocking an EV or ICE powertrain, plus the all-new Alfa Romeo Junior, an electric city dweller.

According to the rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, that's not all. Vince Burlapp (aka vburlapp on social media or burlappcar.com) is a prolific virtual artist who loves to dream of all the latest models across the wide-ranging automotive realm – and he's also resourceful when it comes to insider information. As such, his latest intel from across the rumor mill has him believing that all upcoming Alfa Romeo models will be based on the STLA platform, which is focused on electrification.

However, the 2025 Dodge Charger Sixpack, equipped with the 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six twin-turbo drivetrain and developed on top of the STLA Large architecture, shows it will be easy for Alfa Romeo to adapt to different market conditions and propose a variety of powertrains for different regions. So, the first new Alfa coming on STLA will be the larger next-generation Stelvio rocking the same underpinnings as the Charger but also the Jeep Wagoneer S and Recon models.

The current Alfa Romeo Giulia will be targeted for a 2026 launch after the next Stelvio arrives next year, and there's also talk of a first-ever all-new larger Alfa Romeo SUV that could be produced in America starting in 2027. Naturally, it will focus on the North American market and could be Alfa's greatest asset there ahead of a new Tonale that could adopt the STLA Medium platform and arrive quite fast in 2027 or 2028. Obviously, since he's also a pixel master, the CGI expert has some digital visions for all these new Alfa Romeo models.

So, what do you think about this proposed lineup? Also, would you like to see Alfa Romeo go electric-only, or should they keep a nice mix of EVs, plug-in hybrid variants, and models equipped with the 3.0-liter Hurricane mills – perhaps even ones updated with a hybrid configuration to keep them relevant for much longer than when ICE-only?
