In case you’re looking for a small project car to work on weekends, we’ve found this cute and pretty rare 1983 Toyota Corolla E-71 2-door coupe for only 3,500 bucks.
The current owner was trying to make it into a drag car but felt a bit guilty to ruin it. So he stopped after he repainted all the body and fitted it with new rims and tires.
He also says that the 1.6-liter SOHC engine runs good, along with the gearbox and the rest of the drivetrain. However, it seems a bit of a problem with the interior, needing a refurbish and, although the owner said nothing about it, we don’t see the bumpers and side mirrors mounted on the car. So if you’re interested ask him about them too.
It could make for a nice little car to have and drive around weekends. You can upgrade the engine and make a nimble drift car out of it or simply find the missing parts and restore it completely. Don’t forget to change those spoked blue rims for some JDM ones. Maybe one of those deep dish models and apply bolt on flared fenders to make it more mean.
