When it comes to fast Mustangs, Shelby American Inc. is probably the best place you can go to. Now we know it may sound funny, but Shelby's GT500 can be even quicker if you find the right people.
So if you want a Mustang that can complete a quarter-mile in less that 10 seconds, it's about time you pay a visit to the guys over at Lethal Performance.
With the help of a 4.0-liter Whipple blower mounted instead of the car's stock supercharger, this Lethal Shelby achieved instant impressive status with a 9.39 quarter-mile time at 147.6 miles per hour. That's a world record for the GT500 and awesomeness for our eyes and years.
Their previous record with the 2013 GT500, set in July 2012, was rated at 9.77 seconds. We wouldn't be surprised to see an improvement really soon, but until then you can watch their latest groundbreaking run.
