This weekend, we showed you a Lamborghini Aventador crash in Brooklyn that saw the vehicle split in half. As it frequently happens with supercar drivers, many of the online users tended to place the blame on the man in the Lambo, but now we’ve got a video that proves things were a bit different.
Yes, the driver of the Aventador could be going a bit above the speed limit. However, he was moving along on his lane when a car coming the other way and willing to make a left turn failed to give way.
The other driver slammed into the Lamborghini Aventador’s side. The supercar, which had veered to avoid him, was sent into a tree, hitting this violently with the side.
The Lamborghini Aventador's aluminum structures behind the carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) passenger cell did what they were supposed to do, detaching the engine and rear side of the car from the aforementioned cell. Together with the airbags, this helped protect the driver and the passenger. The two believed to have escaped the accident without major injuries. Nevertheless, the exact details about the two’s condition are unknown at the moment
The crash was caught by a surveillance camera and we’re inviting you to watch its details below.
