The 2021 Ford Bronco is one of the hottest commodities around, with the nearly 200,000 people who flocked to get one acting as undeniable proof. However, it looks like Ford's production capabilities are not going to be able to meet this demand, so a lot of those reservation holders are going to be left out this year.
About two thirds of them, to be more exact, which means roughly 130,000 Americans are going to be extra sad this year - just what we needed after a 2020 during which all 330 million felt like that for the most part, not to mention the billions of others all over the globe.

Well, the good news is that at least one of them - though it doesn't really need to be a reservation holder - can make sure they get their Bronco this year. The bad news is it'll cost about $9,000 more than it should ($65,000 in total), plus the fact that whoever did this would encourage a pretty shady - if admittedly unavoidable - practice.

One of the early reservation holders with a guaranteed 2021 delivery date - more on that later - has put it on sale on Craigslist for about $9,000 more than the vehicle's actual price. The person doesn't offer any detail as to why they are doing this, but judging by the price, we'd say "profit" would be a safe bet.

The car in question is a 2021 four-door Ford Bronco Badlands trim with the Sasquatch Package. It comes with a hardtop, an automatic transmission, and the 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. Styling-wise, it's finished in Area 51 and gets the Marine Grade Vinyl seats.

However, should the seller come to an agreement with the new buyer before March 1st, the configuration can still be modified to better suit the latter's preferences. The only downside - apart from being forced to pay a $9,000 extra - is that cash payment will be required at the dealer.

So, about that guaranteed early delivery... Early reservation holders should begin to take possession of their vehicles this summer, but since not all configurations were created equal, having booked the SUV early isn't going to ensure quick delivery on its own. Ford says that, due to very high demand, delivery of vehicles with the Sasquatch Package or the 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost - two options the on-sale Bronco has - will be delayed. The irony.
