Announced as a bonus to the new partnership signed by British manufacturer MINI with snowboard brand Burton, the Creative Use of Space competition is now entering the phase that counts: voting.
Starting now, the poles are open for snowboarding fans to vote, on the car maker's Facebook page, the videos they like the most.
As you already know, during the first event which marked the start of the collaboration between MINI and Burton, the Burton European Open in Laax, Switzerland, riders were filmed while performing their runs.
The most eye-catching riders have already been selected by a panel of experts, and the videos showing their performances have been uploaded on Facebook.
The riders who managed to impress the judges are Jamie Anderson (USA), Ty Walker (USA), Yuki Furihata (Japan), Xaver Hoffmann (Germany), Sven Thorgren (Sweden), Peetu Piiroinen (Finland) and Markus Keller (Switzerland).
Based on the votes cast by the users, the top two riders will win the competition, as well as a $25,000 prize each from MINI. Your vote too might land you a prize, more specifically a chance to win a trip for four to one of the Burton Global Open Series events this season.
The snowboarding season will take off from Switzerland and head to other continents soon. The Laax event will be followed by the Burton Canadian Open and the Burton US Open.
As the partner of the organizer, MINI will be displaying and using its vehicles at the aforementioned events, providing event test drives in a MINI Countryman.
