Volkswagen has held the 2010 Service Qualification World Championship, testing and recognizing its best service advisers and service technicians.
The finals were held in Wolfsburg, Germany over the weekend and were won by service adviser Andreas Schaefer from Kuwait and service technician Johnny De Cocq van Delwijnen from the Netherlands. They delivered the best performance out of the 120 service specialists from 60 countries who competed in the multiple practical and theoretical tests included in the competition.
“You all gave an impressive performance at the Service Qualification World Championship with your outstanding achievements, in-depth knowledge and personality, and with the passion you bring to your daily work. On behalf of Volkswagen I would like to thank you for your commitment,” Christian Klingler, Group Board Member for Sales at Volkswagen AG told the competitors, while presenting the prizes at the award ceremony on Saturday evening. Klinger added that he was very satisfied with the results of the championship.
“The aim of the Qualification World Championship is to safeguard and further expand the level of service quality offered by the Volkswagen brand all over the world. With its preliminary rounds in 60 countries and the finals in Wolfsburg, the competition fulfils an important bridging function between the automaker, the importers and the retailers in the markets. In addition, the Qualification World Championship also helps to steadily raise the motivation of local service specialists,” stated the press release.
2010 marks the third edition of the competition, with regional classifications of classifications of Europe (A), America (B), Africa, Eastern EU, Central Asia and the Middle East (C) and Asia-Pacific (D) taking account of local conditions.
