A lot of things are happening across the American sports car sector – especially at the Big Detroit Three. They're also rather quirky and innovative.
The initiator of the pony car segment, Ford's Mustang reached the S650 seventh generation last year with classic EcoBoost and GT variations of turbo inline-four or 5.0-liter Coyote V8 plus fastback coupe and Convertible body styles. But the Blue Oval has also added the all-new Dark Horse label to the series with the V8 taken to 500 horsepower.

There are no Shelby models just yet, but this iteration already has a flagship – the upcoming $325k Ford Mustang GTD packing supercar credentials and no less than 800 horsepower via the supercharged V8. Moving to Chevrolet, the iconic Camaro is dead for the time being with a potential EV resurrection in sight, and the engineering teams are focusing on the C8 Corvette instead – with the ZR1 allegedly coming for the first time with twin turbos instead of a supercharger and no less than 850 horsepower on tap.

Meanwhile, Stellantis has decided that Dodge needs to leave a V8-free lifestyle from now on, and the eighth Charger has taken the spotlight on the red Mopar carpet with its new, up-to-670 hp Daytona EV models and the Sixpack variants equipped with the new 420 hp and 550 hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six engine. It’s also both a fastback coupe like during the old days and a four-door sedan as per the modern L-bodied iterations.

Well, things are decidedly interesting and quirky, right? No worries, the rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators always strive to make them even cooler or weirder. If you want to see both instances at the same time, it's time to focus on Oscar Vargas, the virtual artist better known as wb.artist20 on social media, who continues to dream of automotive stuff that can't be made in the garage.

For example, not long ago, the pixel master created a 2026 Chevrolet Camaro SS that looked like the sixth-generation pony car had a baby with the C8 Corvette, and they equipped it with the ZZ632 crate V8 engine. After that, he focused his attention on the older Fox Body Ford Mustang and created a 3D-modernized version that looked particularly slammed and widebody.

Of course, now it’s time to wrap the Big Detroit Three series with a Dodge – so here’s a new Viper for good measure, complete with fangs and the signature side exhaust. Interestingly, the concept also has a dual tailpipe central rear exhaust! Otherwise, aside from the fangs and the odd placement of the exhausts, it’s fairly Viper-like with a long, vented hood, big wheel arches front and back, plus a small greenhouse. So, do you like it?
