Since Dodge revealed the 2024 Charger Daytona and 2025 Charger Sixpack as the eighth generation of the iconic muscle car with ICE and EV powertrains but also a surprising return of the four-door sedan body style alongside the classic two-door fastback coupe format, there have been some interesting rumors flaunted around Detroit.
It seems the powerful Daytona EV and the 3.0-liter inline-six Hurricane twin-turbo-equipped Sixpack models tickled some senses or at least raised some alarms over at the Blue Oval and GM headquarters. As such, we have heard from the rumor mill that Ford's CEO doesn't rule out a Mustang sedan, and the hybrid powertrain is back in the development cycle. More precisely, Jim Farley did not confirm or deny a four-door Mustang, but he's allegedly open to such a body style as long as the performance and atmosphere of the original are carried over.

Concurrently, while GM announced last year the end of production for the sixth generation Chevy Camaro with no successor in sight, now GM's boss Mark Reuss says the nameplate could return faster than anticipated – albeit transformed into an affordable EV. More so, the corner office head honcho also hinted that a four-door Camaro might be possible with a focus on design rather than performance. These developments are pretty interesting, right?

However, some folks will take nothing of that. For example, someone dwelling across the imaginative realm of digital car content creators might find interesting the vision shared by Oscar Vargas, the virtual artist better known as wb.artist20 on social media, who continues to dream of automotive stuff that can't be made in the garage – like a sportscar looking like the C8 Chevy Corvette birthed it.

His vision of the next-generation 2026 Chevrolet Camaro is a very original 3D design project – and even the author admits it feels like "a Corvette had a baby with a Camaro." Naturally, in his opinion – and after putting a lot of work into 3D-rendering the project from scratch – this 2026 Camaro SS "is definitely better than the rumored four-door version they plan to sell."

Well, even if it didn't look cool with the narrow cockpit and ultra-wide body, slammed attitude, and humongous wheels and brakes plus the extra aerodynamic kit, this feisty project would be forgotten a lot of mishaps because of what's hidden under the ventilated hood – a ZZ632 Chevy Performance Parts crate engine. That big-block V8 is extra powerful and can deliver more than 1,000 horsepower on 93-octane pump gas alone!

As such, it would easily surpass its Corvette inspiration – the C8 currently only has up to 495, 655, or 670 horsepower variations according to the Stingray, E-Ray, or Z06 choice. So, what do you think about this unofficial 2026 Chevy Camaro revival proposal – yay or nay?
