The tuning segment seems to be following an ascending trend, with one of the directions being the rising of new names. Let’s take Bulgarian aftermarket developer Vilner for example. We showed you what the company can do for European, as well as for American cars and now it is time to see how the tuner handles a Japanese four-wheeled creation. We’re not talking about any vehicle coming from the Land of the Rising Sun, as we are dealing with a performance hero here: the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X.
The four-wheel-drive madness has had all of its areas modified or at least touched. We have to mention that, for this development, Vilner joined forces with Overdrive, which brought improvements to the exterior and the tech sides of the vehicle.
The 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit was convinced to deliver 400 hp. The full list of powerplant mods hasn’t been released, but we do know that the unit received goodies such as a Greddy exhaust system. The Evo uses an adjustable K-sport suspension and rides on 18-inch Weds Sports rims that use a multi-spoke design, a dark finish and are wrapped in high-performance tires.
The vehicle’s exterior was fitted with certain carbon fiber elements, which were handled by Overdrive, as well as with fresh headlamps and taillights, which use LED technology (these can be seen in the videos below, as the images were taken prior to their installation).
For the interior, Vilner prepared an explosion of modifications, bringing a black leather finish with white contrasting stitching, carbon fiber and black piano trimming, a black Alcantara roof liner, as well as two OMP bucket seats.
