Some say van life is fading away and that many van-dwellers are transitioning away from this lifestyle. However, one social media search under the hashtag dedicated to van life results in millions of posts of folks sharing their experiences on the road. Perhaps not everyone is drawn to full-time RV-ing, but the idea of being able to roam each and every day is insatiable for some.
Since interest in recreational vehicles and mobile living spaces is still high, we continue to bring the best designs to your attention. The latest we've come across is Alltrek, a professionally built camper van conversion that is perfectly suited for life on the road, whether part-time or full-time.

The Alltrek is the creation of VanCraft, a manufacturer of premium off-grid camper vans based in  Salt Lake City, Utah. The outfitter has been in the business since 2016 and specializes in the Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis. Their offering includes three models - Rover, Rover XL, and Alltrek - each built with high-quality materials, excellent craftsmanship, and great attention to detail to offer a truly liberating outdoor experience.

Built on the reliable Mercedes-Benz 170" Sprinter chassis, the Alltrek camper van is designed to offer owners an upgraded mobile living experience. It offers comfortable seating for six people, boasts a sleeping capacity for four (six with an optional rooftop tent), and comes with all the comforts of home.

Due to its versatility, enhanced drivability, well-appointed interior, and relatively compact size compared to other family-oriented RVs, this camper van allows you to pack up and hit the road whenever you feel like it. A four-season insulation package designed to keep the living space quiet and cozy means that you can travel in any weather, as it will trap heat inside your van in the winter and prevent it from overheating in the summer.

Moreover, the Alltrek is well equipped for exploring uncharted territories and tackling challenging terrain, with industry-leading 9" of ground clearance, premium 32″ all-terrain tires, a sleek matte black hood wrap, and a two-tone light pod kit. A rear door ladder is also included for easy access to the roof, and a Class III tow hitch provides increased gear-hauling capacity. For outdoor sports enthusiasts, the campervan comes with a versatile C-track roof mount, which facilitates accessory additions, and the company also offers an optional exterior driver-side rack for longboards and stand-up paddles.

Once you slide open the side door, you'll discover a spacious, robust living space that is more focused on functionality and practicality rather than on aesthetics. Don't expect sophisticated details inside this van, but rest assured that the company has used the highest-quality building materials to ensure the conversion will last for as long as the reliable chassis it is built on. The interior walls and ceilings are covered with maple planks, while all the cabinets inside are made of birch wood wrapped in high-impact laminate finishes that make for a really durable surface.

VanCraft came up with a fluid and very practical layout for the Alltrek, featuring a spacious wet bath right behind the driver's seat, a decently equipped kitchenette, an L-shaped lounge, and a comfortable rear sleeping space. There is no separation between the van's cab and the actual living quarters, and the lack of visual separation between functional areas makes for a really airy and spacious interior. What's more, the streamlined design offers everything van lifers/travelers need for living, cooking, and sleeping, making life on the road a pleasant experience.

Starting with the sleeping space at the back, the transverse raised bed might seem a bit too narrow for some. That's why VanCraft came up with an ingenious solution to create a truly comfortable bedroom area. In front of the bed, there is a unique L-shaped sofa whose adjustable backrest lifts up to extend the sleeping space to 6.3 feet (193 cm) in length and 5.7 feet (175 cm) in width. Coupled with a luxurious 6-inch (15-cm) memory foam mattress, you get the perfect setup for a restful night's sleep. To increase the van's sleeping capacity, you can opt for the sofa-bed conversion that would accommodate two more people and even add a roof tent for an additional two.

As mentioned before, this van conversion can safely transport six people. That's made possible by the aforementioned sofa, which seats four, uses automotive-grade leather cushions, and boasts FMVSS lap seat belts for each passenger. A Lagun-style table turns the seating area into a dining spot or a nice working space for those working remotely.

The compact kitchen comprises just enough cabinets for storage and is decently appointed for effortless convenience on the road. It boasts durable oak countertops and comes equipped with a sleek portable cooktop, a spacious 45-quart top-loading compressor fridge, and a round sink with hot and cold water and a removable cutting board.

The compact yet functional wet bathroom hides behind a self-cleaning retractable door and has a removable shower head, a removable toilet, and a dedicated roof fan.

Last but not least, clever storage solutions are scattered throughout the van, ensuring your essentials are easily accessible. The main storage area is the 70-cu-ft garage space under the bed, which perfectly fits mountain bikes, skis, camping sets, and can be accessorized with an optional pegboard for all your longer equipment.

Other noteworthy features of this van include a swivel seat on the passenger side, an instant hot water outdoor shower, a diesel heater, and a 40-gallon freshwater system.

For those who want to explore off the beaten path, the Alltrek can be equipped with a 320W solar panel and a smart-heated 500Ah lithium ion battery system, but when you visit campgrounds or RV parks, you can simply plug your Alltrek into a standard 110V outlet for shore-power charging. Pricing for this robust and durable camper van conversion starts at $142,000.
