We're about a year away from Citroen introducing the new C1 city car, which is likely going to take place at next year's Paris Motor Show. However, the French carmaker is not letting its smallest model die off as-is and is offering extra kit and caboodle, at least in Britain.
The revised Citroen C1 model range has now been made available there and includes new trim levels and the addition of a new Efficient Tronic Gearbox (ETG).
The revised range now includes three trim levels – the old VT and the new Edition and Platinum.
The C1 Edtion starts at £9,670 and replaces the old C1 VTR. It now comes standard with sporty cosmetic touches like 14-inch ‘Rift’ alloy wheels and a leather trimmed steering wheel with matching gear knob.
But for a rear kick in the cosmetic department, the C1 Platinum costing £10,345 features a big rear spoiler, the option of two body colors for contrast and tinted windows. It's quite a boastful car for something that only has 68 horsepower from a 1-liter engine.
The Platinum model is the only one available with the new the new Efficient Tronic Gearbox (ETG), but only as a 5-door and only if you're willing to part with £11,245.
