The Japanese automaker holds the unlikely honor of selling the cheapest car in America – the Versa sedan – until it discontinues it. Soon enough, Nissan will ditch it alongside the Titan full-size pickup truck, as well as the Altima, which won't make it into 2026MY either.
The Nissan Maxima also bowed out not long ago, so it's clear that Nissan needs to focus on the models that are still popular, like the Sentra, Kicks, Rogue, Murano, Pathfinder, or Armada. Luckily, we already know that the automaker wants 30 new vehicles by 2027 on a global level, and among them, seven all-new models are coming to the United States.

However, that doesn't mean it should only focus on all-new generations like the 2025 Kicks or the upcoming Armada – the rumor mill and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators firmly believe that refreshes should also be on the agenda. According to the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube, which has a satellite venue dubbed AutoYa Interior, which is where all the (CGI) Nissan action is, they should kick off the proceeds with the updated 2025 Nissan Frontier mid-size pickup truck series.

Indeed, the next model year was recently spied in America wearing front and rear camouflage attire – meaning the subtle revisions to the styling should touch both areas – and the rumor mill believes and hopes that Nissan might also gift it with a revamped digital cockpit. Obviously, while the third-generation D41 Frontier is finally a separate model, distinct from the global versions of the Navara/Frontier, it's pretty clear that demand has started to bottom out for the model introduced during the summer of 2021 as a 2022MY.

It's pretty obvious why – the main rivals are all (with the exception of Honda's Ridgeline) refreshed or all-new: Jeep Gladiator, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon, plus especially the turbo or hybrid N400 Toyota Tacoma best-seller. As such, it is no wonder that even the parallel universes of vehicular CGI know for sure that Nissan's Frontier is in dire need of an overhaul.

According to the host of the channel and the resident pixel master's digital work, the 2025 Nissan Frontier mid-size pickup truck could arrive upgraded on the US and Canadian markets with subtly revised headlights, a redesigned front bumper, plus minor alterations to the rear. Inside, though, the changes would be easily visible and more than welcome – the rumor mill talks of a larger 12-inch central infotainment screen, a new steering wheel, plus a different AC command center.

They didn't discuss or show a fully digital instrument cluster in the hypothetical preview video embedded below, but the traditional color reel is also present – both inside and outside. So, which is your favorite exterior-interior combination and why?
