Apparently happening in Kazakhstan, this rather disturbing accident shows how bad can things go at times. Unfortunately it's very hard to tell whether the zone where the rider was trying to overtake the tractor was a legal one or not.
However, seeing this footage reminds me of the extra care motorcyclists should have when riding near agricultural vehicles.
I know that not all their drivers are reckless idiots who can barely spell, but in most of such cases I happened to run into, the operator of tractors and similar vehicles were unfit to drive on public roads, to say the least. Many of them do not check their mirrors, do no use turn signals and just drive as they see fit.
Unfortunately one of my good rider friends was killed after crashing into a harvester operated by a guy who was DUI. So once more, exercise a paranoid care whenever you encounter such fellows. Better paranoid but safe than sorry or dead.
