While you may have heard about the problem of sudden acceleration caused by malfunctioning cruise control systems, well now the cause of this incident was actually a malfunctioning person. Apparently, the driver of this Golf suffered a heart attack while at the wheel and his foot was stuck on the throttle, making for an impressive burnout.
The incident took place in South Korea, where the driver of the silver VW Golf MK6 jammed his foot on the gas in first gear, then in reverse, crossing a very busy boulevard with eight lanes, before crashing rear-first into a building and scaring all the bystanders, on both sides of the road.
Apparently, the driver died later, in hospital, from cardiac arrest, but not because of any driving-related incidents, but because of the heart attack that had caused the crashes in the first place.
First video, filmed at close range.
Second video, filmed from afar.
