Toyota today announced the revised 2009 UK Aygo lineup goes on sale at dealerships across the country including two new models that bring even better equipment levels and reduced costs of ownership. Both the Aygo Blue and Aygo Black are powered by the same 1.0-liter VVT-i engine installed on the main version of the car that produces 67 bhp (50 kW) and 93 Nm of torque.
Aygo Black sports 14-inch alloy wheels, Alcantara and leather upholster plus leather trim on steering wheel and gear knob. Featuring a black metallic exterior, this new Aygo is available exclusively with manual transmission but further models will also get air conditioning and a MultiMode transmission system.
Aygo Blue features air conditioning and Bluetooth connectivity as standard and comes with an exclusive Cayman Blue metallic paint finish.
There are two accessory packs available, as it follows: the Style pack for Aygo Blue (580 pounds) includes alloy wheels, front fog lamps and front scuff plates and the Xtra Protected pack (330 pounds) that boasts rear parking sensors, mud flaps and carpets. The Aygo Black received a special version of the Xtra Protect Pack that costs 380 pounds and also features side and rear bumper protection mouldings.
“This spirit is reinforced in the 2009 Aygo, with a re-sculpted front grille and bumper that emphasise the car’s low centre of gravity, giving it a more ground-hugging appearance. The extended front bumper increases overall length by 10mm and allows for neater integration of front fog lights, when specified,” Toyota praised the features of the revised model.
The cheapest 2009 Toyota Aygo will be sold for 7,040 pounds while the most expensive version, the Aygo Black with air conditioning, will be available for 9,570 pounds.
