This edition of the CES was awash with hi-tech from BMW, Audi and Mercedes, but American automakers also made their presence felt. FCA US Operations headed to Vegas with four all-new Uconnect Access services: Vehicle Health Alert and Health Report, Send Destination to Vehicle and Vehicle Finder.
Starting with the first two of four connected services, the so-called Vehicle Health Report and Vehicle Health Alert were developed to inform the driver about the car’s status. As such, Monthly Vehicle Health Report is something like a monthly report that is sent to owners’ e-mail accounts, informing them about their vehicle’s performance status.
Through it, owners can review and monitor key systems like the status of the powertrain, oil and fluids, braking system, suspension and the array of safety features. In addition to this bit of technology, Vehicle Health Alert is the service that alerts the owner if the previously mentioned systems require attention.
Last but not least, Send Destination to Vehicle allows its users send a location address directly to their Uconnect system’s large touchscreen and navigate to the chosen location. Destinations can be found by conducting a point of interest search and browsing through a list of provided categories, such as restaurants, hotels and gas stations. To send the address to the in-vehicle navigation system by pressing the Send to Vehicle icon or call the location from their mobile device by pressing the Call icon.
After that, once the vehicle is started, a final message will pop up on the Uconnect screen with a Go Now icon. All of the aforementioned four additions will be made available during the first half of 2015 on select 2015 MY vehicles properly equipped with Uconnect 8.4A or 8.4AN and a Uconnect subscription.

The next service bundled with the Uconnect Access smartphone app is the Vehicle Finder
As the name suggests, this feature lets owners localize where they left their cars at a touch of a button on their mobile devices. FCA informs that once the feature is accessed, the use is offered with a location of their vehicle via map, together with a prompt menu that will ask to Find Route or Sound Horn.Last but not least, Send Destination to Vehicle allows its users send a location address directly to their Uconnect system’s large touchscreen and navigate to the chosen location.
