Both the big and fastidious Cadillac Escalade (including the V-Series model) along with its GMC Yukon platform sibling are about to undergo the refreshment procedure to mimic the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban. But what if that wasn't the case?
We have seen on countless occasions that Cadillac intends to bring out the first-ever all-electric Escalade IQ alongside the refreshed full-size luxury SUV – especially thanks to our spy photographer partners, who know a thing or two about this facelift. GMC, meanwhile, is even more adamant about announcing the arrival of the 2025 Yukon with loads of fresh goodies, as it has already started the official teaser campaign alongside the smaller GMC Terrain.
Obviously, both the Caddy Escalade and GMC Yukon will have a lot in common with the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, including the mild styling updates at the front, a thoroughly revamped interior with larger screens, and also a more powerful diesel mill. However, not everyone is delighted that a classic facelift is coming. Instead, some people want something else, entirely.
For example, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has a different perspective. More precisely, Oscar Vargas, a virtual artist better known as wb.artist20 on social media, continues to dream of automotive stuff that might not be as easy to make in a garage as his Dodge Charger Ute conversion kit by Smyth Performance. So, even though he's now a DIY builder with upcoming Chrysler 300 and VW Beetle two-door coupe-utility projects, he sure won't be able to make two-door SUVs out of the Escalade and Yukon.
Well, maybe he doesn't even need to – as they can always dwell around the parallel universes of vehicular CGI. So, even before there were rumors about Caddy upgrading the ultra-popular Escalade and GMC refreshing the Yukon and Yukon XL, he decided to have a swing at making two-door full-size companions for the current Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco mid-size SUVs. Of course, his short-wheelbase SUVs are a little feistier than the Wrangler Rubicon 392 and Bronco Raptor.
That's because one is a two-door Caddy Escalade-V, and the other is a short(-tempered) GMC Yukon GT. The Caddy rides closer to the ground and also comes neatly packaged with a widebody aerodynamic kit, a bulging hood, plus massive black wheels to bode well for the contrasting red paint versus glossy black trim. Meanwhile, the GMC Yukon GT also takes the CGI ideas a notch higher because the digital project involves Lambo-style doors and a front-hinged engine hood!
So, which is your favorite? Or would you rather have both in the dream garage and not have to worry about choosing?
