Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Range Rover, S-Class and… a Tumbler? If Bruce Wayne can own both a supercar and a crime fighting tank, you should too.
This is a story we've been wanting to write since January when we first saw a video of the Tumbler sitting in the company of European exotic cars somewhere in Dubai. Unfortunately, we didn't have any details until today.
The Tumbler is residing in Target Auto Showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road, a family-run business in Dubai. Almost every street in downtown Dubai has a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, but almost nobody owns Batman's old car.
The dealership isn't currently listing it for sale, but that doesn't mean they won't negotiate if the price is right. What's more, in March they also added a Tron light cycle to their roster, which means it's very easy to pretend you're a hero in the Emirates these days.
The Tumbler was first seen in 2005's Batman Begins. Director Christopher Nolan wanted to portray a more realistic version of the fictional universe, so the Batmobile was turned into a tank-like machine designed to jump over rivers for the army.
Mister Lucius Fox was reluctant to hand over the keys, but the Tumbler proved an invaluable crime-fighting tool. Unfortunately, it was turned against Batman when Bane captured several examples and took over Gotham.
A decent road-legal replica of the Tumbler recently sold for $1 million (€890,000). So if you have that kind of cash, maybe you'll give these guys a call. Who knows, maybe they'll throw in the motorcycle for free!
