There's no really easy way to describe the state in which Toyota finds itself at this moment... Oh, wait, there is: unstoppable (literally). And, apparently, there's no stopping media reports on the matter from poring in by the thousands each day (really, google "Toyota recall" – there will be around 21,000,000 hits on the matter).
So, with all this fuss going around about it, it was only a matter of time before The Today Show's Jon Stewart paid attention to the subject. And they did, in the episode aired on February 2 (video can be found below).
Throughout the video, you will basically see all the phases through which Toyota had to go until it finally reached this point of no return. From the initial announcement of the recall, through the clarification that the new recall has nothing to do with the old recall and all the way to Akio Toyoda's odd way of apologizing.
Of course, not to be missed are the mumble-jumble interviews with Toyota's Jim Lentz, or GM's, Ford's and Chrysler's plans to (re)take over the world...
For those of you who would want a better alternative, we have Toyota's plan B (should the car business ultimately fail) - the human partner robot. Something far, far more dangerous than a runaway Camry...
