Toyota Motor North America has just announced the appointment of Latondra Newton as chief corporate social responsibility officer.
Latondra’s new function include responsibilities like oversighting Toyota’s diversity and philanthropy functions across national affiliates.
Newton began her career with Toyota in 1991, running through a variety of functions at TMA, including assistant general manager of the Human Resources, Management Development and Diversity Department, where she started the corporate diversity function.
Automotive News named Newton a Rising Star Under 35 in 2000 and one of the Leading Women in the North American Automotive Industry in 2010.
