Japanese automaker Toyota is laying ground for the 2014 4Runner’s reveal at the 2013 Stagecoach Country Music Festival with a couple of teaser shots.
Wait, what? Stagecoach Country Music Festival? No proper introduction at the next big American auto show? As weird as it may sound, Toyota will indeed unveil the new 4Runner in Indio, California and country music star Dierks Bentley will be there for an exclusive performance.
Now in its fifth generation, the 4Runner is expected to arrive with more than just a facelift, and the newly redesigned headlamps shown in these teasers confirm Toyota’s intentions of upping the ante in terms of styling. Since the second photo goes round the back to reveal the smoked tail lamps, we’ll just have to wait for the automaker to unwrap the SUV to draw any opinions.
From Toyota’s brief press release we also found out the 4Runner will be available “in a variety of configurations and in three models: a well-equipped SR5, top-of-the-line Limited, plus a Trail grade of amazing off-road capability”.
The official unveiling will take place on April 27 at the 2013 Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, California.
