The Japanese manufacturer is dedicating all its resources to create the most economical and reliable vehicles for the market and while it's hard to make the most reliable car ever, its models rival each other in the matter as we recently learned.
According to a recent from J.D. Power and Associates’ Vehicle Dependability Study, that surveys vehicle owners on problems during the third year of ownership, the Toyota RAV4 recorded the fewest problem among compact crossover SUVs, while the Camry model got in the top three once.
The survey measures issues occurring in 3-year-old vehicles, so this year’s study covered 2010 models. This doesn’t necessarily apply to the current models which have been redesigned and mechanically upgraded since 2012.
The two models have also high scored in Consumer Reports' magazine’s surveys performed on its readers annually.
