Shawn Langdon shattered the Pacific Raceways record and topped the qualifying rounds on Saturday at the NHRA Northwest Nationals.
It was a close call as Langdon posted an exact 3.765 seconds time with David Grubnic’s. However, he managed to stay on top due to its greater pass speed of 320.58 mph (516 km/h) opposing David’s 317.57 mph (511.1 km/h), earning his fourth No.1 qualifier for the season and the 10th of his career.
Three-time NHRA series champion, Shawn joined the Al-Anabi Racing Team preceding the 2012 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing season after three successful seasons at Morgan Lucas Racing. He also won his first championship at the national Junior Dragster in 1997, competing in the 14-years and under class.
