The United States is not the only country affected by heavy snow - four Toyota plants in Japan had to stop production on Monday due to bad weather conditions.
The Takaoka, Motomachim Tahara and Tsutsumi plants in Aichi Prefecture couldn’t receive supplies due to heavy snow so they had to stop production temporarily. However, the situation got solved today and the four plants resumed operations.
Toyota was not the only automaker in Japan to suffer from heavy snow, as Nissan shut down one of its two lines at its Tochigi plant, while Honda halted production at its plant in Saitama Prefecture. Subaru also had to put production on pause at two plants in Gunma Prefecture.
