Seen first in February 2013, the Toyota i-Road leaning three-wheeler made its appearance at almost every other car show and it’s now showcased at the 2014 Washington Auto Show.
The i-Road studies the idea of a two-seater personal transport vehicle to be used in the city. Powered by an electric motor, it can reach up to 45 km/h (30 mph) and the battery can last for around 50 km (31 miles).
Having almost no overhangs, the i-Road is only 2,350 mm long, 850 mm wide and 1,445 mm tall. The steering is done by the smaller rear wheel, but the ones at the front can individually slide up or down to tilt the vehicle for better cornering.
