Toyota is ready to bring the fun back to Europe as well, with its budged joyride with a boxer engine, the brand new G 86. The 200 horsepower wonder of the RWD world will make its official European debut at the first major show of the year, Geneva.
The GT 86 is a relatively compact 2+2 coupe, which measures 4,240 mm in length (166.9 inches), 1,285 mm in hight (50.6 inches and 2,570 mm in width (101,2 inches).
Power comes from a 2.0-liter boxer engine developed by Subaru and featuring Toyota's D-4S direct injection technology. It delivers 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 205 Nm of torque (151,2 lb-ft) at 6,600. This is sent to the back via the standard six-speed manual gearbox with a short-throw lever or an optional six-speed automatic transmission.
