She wasn’t worried as much about the LV bag as it was by the fact that she had valuable items of jewelry in it, including the enormous yellow diamond ring Birdman proposed to her earlier this year. She’s never spoken about how much he paid for it, but speculation has it (based on size and clarity of the stone) that it could be worth anything from $500,000 to a couple of million.
At first, Toni took to Twitter to complain that Delta wasn’t getting back to her, after using all the usual channels of communications. She insisted that Delta was her “favorite” company, meaning, she would hate it for it to change. She also told her fans that she had expensive jewelry in the bag, including the sparkler that usually sits on her left hand.
Going public with her problem was all that was needed for Delta to get to work on solving it. In a later update, this time on Instagram, the singer says she got her bag back, but it’s been emptied of all the jewelry. She begs whoever took it to return it to her, including the engagement ring, which, apparently, is named “Bonnie.”
To be clear, Toni is not accusing Delta employees of going through her bags and stealing her diamonds, but since this happened on a Delta plane, it’s on the company’s watch even if a fellow passenger took them. Still, she’s willing to forgive and forget, so she writes on Twitter: “Whoever BORROWED [the ring] ...PLEEEASE return it!!!! I promise, no questions asked!”
