Prior to launching the very exciting LF-A, Lexus was known as an automaker which tried to isolate the driver as much as possible from the outside world. Also, in Lexus cars of old, steering with no feel whatsoever was considered a good thing, as it contributed to the overall feeling of serenity one gets when driving such a car.
However, now the LF-A, or the IS-F aren`t the only two sporty Lexus cars, as Toyota Motorsports GmbH has finally unveiled their version of the Japanese luxury automaker’s flaghsip, the LS. Called the Sports 650, it has, as its name suggests, 650 hp, a figure which is achieved with a twin-turbocharged 5-liter V8 engine, which feeds the rear wheels via an eight-cog torque-converter automatic gearbox.
The car gets a noticeable exterior body kit, with LED DRLs on the front bumper, ultra-flared wheelarches and some nice-looking rims, which also seem to be very light. Through the rims, the huge brakes are clearly visible, and very far from stock. It is rumored to be officially revealed in the metal at the Essen Motor Show, in December, but we cannot confirm that, yet.
