If money's not an issue for you, a whole world of premium camper vans opens up. One conversion company that does high-quality builds is Brooklyn Camper Vans. Today, I'm checking out one of its latest creations.
Is it worth investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into a tiny home on wheels? Well, it depends on who you ask. My take is that it can be, especially if you use it as a full-time mobile home. It saves you the hassle of designing and converting a camper van all by yourself.

With a proven company like Brooklyn Campervans, you pay a high price but are guaranteed to end up with a high-end home. I've featured some of the company's projects here on autoevolution, and I always liked what I saw.

This Brooklyn-based company has built more than 35 vans. Its signature is blending upscale craftsmanship with minimalist design and a clean aesthetic, something you'll clearly see in the rig I'm discussing today.

What we have here is a 2023 AWD Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 170" wheelbase called the "Scandi Van." It's now for sale – I'll share more info about that at the end of the article.

This rig has a ton of features inside and out. What you see on this van is just a part of what the company can offer regarding accessories. That's the cool part with Brooklyn Campervans: it provides a high level of customizability, from winches to off-road lights, upgraded rims, and more.

As usual, I'll start the tour with the exterior. Climb on top of the vehicle, and you'll discover an Unaka roof rack holding 725 W solar panels and a Dometic electric automatic awning with a wind sensor.

Other elements up top are a new-gen Starlink system and a Dometic RTX-2000 A/C. By the way, Brooklyn Campervans modified the recently released Starlink system to be able to work on 12 V, significantly reducing its power consumption.

For easier accessibility, a step-up board is deployed once you slide open the main door. It makes it a lot easier to step inside while not affecting the vehicle's ground clearance. And lastly, the last notable exterior features are a 360-degree camera system connected to a monitor inside and two color-matched side flares that increase the bedroom space, as you'll see inside.

Things get a lot more interesting once you enter the rig. As its name suggests, this van's living space is finished in a Scandi design. Generally, it consists of a lot of natural lighting, modern furniture, minimalistic and decluttered spaces, muted colors, and natural materials.

You'll notice all these and more in this interior. Specifically, the company installed walls finished with beautiful limewash texture paint paired with an off-white ceiling and white cabinetry. The aesthetic is completed by fine ambient lighting and RGB strip lights near the floor and on the bedroom bump-outs.

Starting from the front part of the van, you'll see that Brooklyn Campervans opted for an open layout, meaning the driver's cabin isn't separated from the rest of the interior. In fact, it's designed to merge with the next part of the living space.

Both the driver's and passenger's seats can be swiveled to face the interior. Behind them, the builders installed two table mounts. Next, we have an additional seating area comprising a bench seat with a three-point harness. What's more, the bench can be made flat and transformed into a sleeping spot, although only shorter people or children will be able to fit there.

The front of the van also comes with some much-needed storage spaces. Above the bench seat, you'll notice two decently sized cabinets, while a headliner shelf above the driver's cabin is perfect for storing longer items. This type of spot is usually used to store window covers. By the way, all the windows inside this van come with insulated window covers.

Next, we have the kitchen, which is split into two parts. The passenger side features a spacious whitewashed oak countertop, a built-in two-burner induction stove, and a small Dometic fridge with a tiny freezer. Regarding storage, you can use a large pull-out compartment and four drawers.

Opposite the kitchen, Brooklyn Campervans devised a bathroom. I love its aesthetic, with two whitewalls and a third one covered with vertically arranged bamboo fluted tiles. Moreover, it boasts a Nebia showerhead, a portable Laveo dry-flush toilet, and a Nautilus self-cleaning shower door.

The second part of the kitchen, located between the bathroom and the bedroom, consists of a counter integrating a deep sink with a 2.5-gallon (9.5-liter) electric heater underneath and an overhead cabinet. The latter houses a vintage microwave and a control panel for part of the rig's utility systems.

It comprises two USB outlets, a release switch for the greywater tank's ball valve, as well as on/off buttons for the greywater tank's heating and for the Starlink system, and . Furthermore, on the wall underneath the cabinet, the builders mounted a Simarine Pico monitoring system for the water tanks.

Like on most other camper vans, you'll find the bedroom at the rear of the interior. On Sprinter vans, you can't mount the bed from side to side unless you install bump-outs (also known as flares), like on this rig. It's a worthwhile investment, as it creates extra room for the kitchen or any other amenity you want to add to the space you gain.

The bedroom has a full-size mattress and overhead cabinets for additional storage. But here's the nice part with this setup: part of the bed platform can be lifted to transform the bed into a couch. To make the space even cooler, Brooklyn Campervans installed a drop-down projector screen, housing the projector in a cabinet on the opposite side.

Underneath the bed, you'll discover a large garage housing the utility systems, which can be accessed from both inside and outside the rig.

When it comes to camper vans, it's great to have an efficient layout and a striking interior aesthetic. However, in most cases, your utility systems will make the most significant difference regarding comfort and livability.

Power isn't an issue in this rig. The EcoFlow power station is on the right side of the garage. It's a compact and even aesthetically pleasing solution, its highlights being 10 kWh/833 Ah batteries connected to the 720 W solar panels on the roof. Of course, the system can also be charged via a shore power connection and from the vehicle's alternator while driving.

According to Brooklyn Campervans, the electrical system provides enough juice to be able to run the Dometic A/C for over 20 hours.

For heating and cooling, you can use a Webasto diesel heater and the Dometic A/C I mentioned earlier, while a Maxxair fan provides active ventilation.

Brooklyn Campervans ensured that this van is four-season-ready by utilizing 4-inch (10-centimeter) Rockwool insulation for the walls, while the ceiling and floor are also heavily insulated.

Lastly, there's a decent amount of water available on this camper van via a 40-gallon (151-liter) freshwater tank on the left side of the garage. All the water you use then drains into a tiny 10-gallon (38-liter) tank, which can be emptied anytime you press the switch I mentioned above.

All in all, Brooklyn Vans managed to fit a ton of features on this tiny home on wheels. It's got pretty much all you need to enjoy life on the road, with the added benefit of robust off-road and off-grid capabilities. I like that it boasts a minimalistic design on the surface, yet it integrates so much technology.

Of course, all these are offered for an appropriate price. As I mentioned at the beginning of the article, this fully equipped Sprinter van is now for sale for a whopping $243,500 (€225,293). You can find out more about it on Brooklyn Campervans' website.
