Remote work has become mainstream in recent years, and the newly found freedom that working from home entails has encouraged many to move into a mobile home that allows them to move constantly and explore new places. No wonder the demand for tiny houses on wheels that integrate a dedicated workspace has also seen a considerable increase.
Due to their incredible versatility, tiny houses can be tailored to meet any client's personal and professional needs, and models with a separate office space are a great solution for entrepreneurs, freelancers, or self-employed that are looking for peace, quiet, and privacy to focus better on their work.

Australian builder Removed Tiny Homes has various models with a dedicated office space in its lineup, and the Burleigh is one of them. This cute little cabin is just 6 meters (20 feet) long and 2.4 meters (8 feet) wide, but it packs quite a punch in terms of functionality. Thanks to its generous 4.3-meter (14.1-foot) height, this home on wheels incorporates not one but two lofts, one of which is designed as a floating office space for those who work from home.

For the talented team at Removed Tiny Homes, tiny living is not about compromises but about doing more with less, about living "removed" without any sacrifices, enabling people to "embrace a life less cluttered, more intentional, and in harmony with nature." Despite its compact footprint, the Burleigh is the embodiment of this philosophy and showcases a brilliant fusion of spaciousness, functionality, and eco-conscious living.

With a sturdy construction that includes a steel frame, Batts Earthwool insulation, Colorbond steel roof and wall cladding, and black aluminum windows, Burleigh is well-equipped for full-time living. The modern exterior is coupled with a practical yet inviting interior that has vertical joint paneling on all surfaces and a waterproof engineered vinyl floor.

Built on a triple-axle trailer, this petite dwelling could be a reliable mobile residence for a travel-loving couple that aims to reduce their ecological footprint and live a life defined by freedom and adventure. The petite size means it can be easily transported wherever you go, so you won't be tied to a particular area.

However, don't let the compactness and humble appearance fool you, as the interior comes with all kinds of modern amenities. The open space design coupled with a well-organized floor plan and clever use of vertical space makes Burleigh appear more spacious than it actually is. While the ground floor is dedicated to the common living areas, including a snug lounge, a functional kitchen, and a two-person dining spot, the lofts are for more private activities, like sleeping and working or studying.

The compact living room has enough space for two armchairs or a three-seat sofa and a coffee table and is the most luminous area of the house, as it gets plenty of natural light from the sliding glass door and a large window.

The adjacent kitchen demonstrates the designers' ability to squeeze a lot of functionality into a compact space. Although tiny, the cooking space comes packed with beautifully crafted cabinetry that offers ample storage and various modern appliances. A sink, a two-burner cooktop, and an oven are perfectly integrated into the kitchen cabinets. We can also notice a full-height pantry and enough space for an apartment-sized fridge and a microwave.

A separate dining spot is a rarity in a tiny home that measures only 20 feet in length, but the team at Removed managed to incorporate a breakfast table across from the kitchen. It is neatly tucked under the loft and faces a large window, allowing occupants to take in the views whenever they dine or snack.

This teeny tiny home also comes with a fully operational bathroom with a large shower, a vanity with sink and mirror, and a composting toilet.

Moving on to the upper level, Burleigh comes with a bedroom loft that includes a double mattress flanked by windows and a small wardrobe, as well as a secondary loft that is configured as a workspace with a full-width desk with drawers attached to the wall and a special office chair without legs that lays flat on the floor. That's because the loft has a floating design that allows the person working on the laptop to sit comfortably.

A front or a wrap-around deck would be a marvelous addition to this cute, humble cabin, creating an outdoor living space that inspires you to spend as much time as possible outside. It would be a great spot to relax, connect more deeply with nature, and enjoy all the comforts of off-grid living.

With its aesthetically pleasing exterior and simple yet highly functional layout, Burleigh is a marvelous example of meticulous tiny house design. It is a great option for those looking for an easily transportable home that offers them all the amenities needed for comfort and well-being in any location.

In terms of pricing, the Burleigh tiny home starts at AUD $109,990 (USD $73,000). An optional off-grid package will add between AUD$19,990 and AUD$29,990 (USD$13,000 and USD$20,000) to the base price.
