Porsche is not going to just sit and watch Tesla make the rules in the luxury electric sedan segment. It uses all its weapons even if it means offering discounts to owners of non-Porsche-branded models. So, technically, everyone who owns a car qualifies for the discount.
Porsche is now offering a $4,500 discount to those who already drive a car from another manufacturer. The move is to lure Tesla owners and prevent the American carmaker from gaining territory in the segment. The price cut is specifically targeting those financing or leasing a competitive vehicle, including a Tesla. Therefore, everyone who owns any other car but a Porsche is eligible to get a discount to buy a Porsche.

The Zufenhausen-based sports car manufacturer launched the Taycan back in 2019. The 2025 Taycan, though, came with more range thanks to the bigger battery pack (105 kW instead of 93 kW), faster charging, and upgraded performance.

The range-topping Taycan Turbo GT is a Tesla Model S Plaid slayer. It sports a dual-motor setup tuned to pump out 1,092 horsepower (1,108 metric horsepower) and an incredible 988 pound-feet (1,340 Newton meters) of torque. Those make the car flash from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 2.2 seconds or just 2.1 seconds if it is equipped with the optional Weissach package. Top speed is 190 mph (306 kph).

Meanwhile, the Tesla Model S Plaid brags about 1,006 horsepower (1,020 metric horsepower) and 1,050 pound-feet (1,424 Newton meters) of torque, making it accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 203 mph (328 kph).

The Porsche Taycan Turbo GT has already shattered to pieces Tesla's supremacy at the Nurburgring, outpacing it by 18 seconds, lapping the Green Hell in an impressive 7 minutes and 7:55 seconds, becoming the fastest four-door of any powertrain type.

Porsche wants to outrun Tesla in terms of sales as well. That is why it is offering a $4,500 discount to those financing or leasing a Tesla as part of the Welcome to Porsche Conquest Lease Program. The program includes new 2024 and 2025MY Taycan models and offers up to three $1,500 payments on a current lease for a total of $4,500 if the Tesla owner decides to buy a Porsche Taycan.

The amount of money a customer can get from Porsche depends on the number of days until maturity. They will receive $1,500 if they have 31 to 60 days left. $3,000 for 61 to 90 days left, or $4,500 for 91 to 190 days left, as reported by CarsDirect.

The discount might also apply to the all-new Porsche Macan EV once it hits the market. The German automaker will start deliveries in the second half of 2024.

The Porsche Panamera starts at $101,395, while the Macan Electric kicks off at $84,450 in the US with all taxes included.
