It is not always easy to incorporate everything one would like in a camper van conversion to make it feel more like home, but some outfitters seem to have discovered a successful formula to deliver quality and comfort in a small package.
One of these super skilled outfitters is Vanpuravida, a company based in Chelmsford, UK, that specializes in custom luxury van conversions with high-design details and unique features tailored to the client's specific needs. Handcrafted with great attention to detail, their vans stand out through their clever layouts, carefully chosen building materials, and sophisticated yet approachable design styles.

We've already covered several builds completed by this British company, and each one managed to pleasantly impress us with understated elegance and high functionality. Every Vanpuradiva design has its own special charm and distinctive features, and the recently completed Pablo is no exception.

Based on a Mercedes Sprinter LWB, a large and reliable van that lends itself naturally to camper conversions, Pablo was built using the company's family-friendly Alps layout. This particular floorplan is designed for up to five people with two rear passenger belted seats and an elevator bed in the back. This configuration, which also includes a central kitchen, a bathroom, and a rear convertible dinette, opens up a lot of possibilities for outdoor adventures, allowing you to bring your friends or family on the road, travel together, and experience van life in complete safety and comfort.

As is the case with many van conversions designed for camping in urban, suburban, and rural environments, Pablo's exterior is rather unassuming. It's finished in a run-of-the-mill white paint with some blue decals, but no obvious features point toward its camper DNA, which makes it perfect for stealth camping in any setting.

The interior of the van, however, is expertly designed to feel like a home away from home. Despite the limited square footage inside the vehicle, the designers managed to make it feel like a calm sanctuary on wheels that can take you and your loved ones anywhere your heart desires. There are well-defined zones for traveling, cooking, and lounging/sleeping inside the van without any formal separation and without making the space feel cramped.

The living space has been kept light, calm, and neutral, with a minimalist Scandinavian styling that harmoniously blends natural colors and organic textures to create an ambiance that brings you closer to nature. Moreover, the right combination of straight lines and sinuous curves helps give a sense of space and facilitates ease of circulation inside this match-box-shaped tiny home.

What we particularly love about Pablo's layout is the real dining area at the back, which is perfect for relaxed family dinners, table games, long chats on a rainy day, and even squeezing in some work if needed. What's more, the bamboo table in the middle is removable, creating more space for those moments when the little ones want to play inside.

Designed with multifunctionality in mind, the two long benches that create the lounge have integrated storage, and by lowering the table and adding a few extra cushions, these benches convert into a comfortable bed. But the true space-saving solution comes in the form of the ingenious electric lift-up bed that increases the camper's sleeping capacity. It can accommodate two adults or three young children and can be accessed via a slide-out ladder hidden under the bed.

Another standout feature inside Pablo is the L-shaped kitchen with custom cabinets covered in flexible oak panels and curved corners. The combination of natural wood tones with a white solid-surface countertop that replicates the beauty of solid quartz, a beautiful wallpaper backsplash, and a smart lighting system creates a cooking space defined by soft warmth and contemporary minimalism.

The spacious cabinets, generous counter space, and modern appliances, such as a two-hob gas cooktop, a round sink, and a large Thetford fridge/freezer, make this kitchen perfect for cooking family dinners on the road.

For added convenience during travels, Pablo also has a shower room. It is as sleek and stylish as the rest of the van and is neatly concealed behind a retractable roller door. It is big enough to allow for a proper cleanse after a long day of adventures, and it also includes a compact portable toilet that slides out from under the lounge bench. In terms of design, it boasts gray concrete PVC panels on the shower walls, two shelf niches for toiletries, and an oversized brushed gold shower head.

Pablo was the first prize of a giveaway run by Vanny Campers, where you can win a campervan every month. Besides offering comfortable accommodation, this carefully designed home on wheels can also enable its owners to experience memorable off-grid adventures, as it is equipped with 320 Watts of solar panels, massive underslung water tanks (90-liter fresh water tank and 75-liter waste water tank), an Expanse Whale GE water heater, a Diesel air heater, and a 30-liter LPG tank with refillable bottle system.

All in all, Pablo is a great camper van for families who want to embark on cross-country road trips and explore the great outdoors. In terms of pricing, Vanpuravida's Alps model typically starts at £49,990 (which is approx. $63,700), without the cost of the base van.
