Summer is here for most parts of the world, so why not treat yourself to a different kind of vacation this year? Take the Quantum as the perfect example of a trip that's bound to leave a mark. Oh, and you'll only need to dish out around $51K to enjoy this ship for one week.
Folks, it's not every day that we get the opportunity to take a vacation on a superyacht. Heck, for most of us average Joes, it's typically the last thing on our bucket lists, if that. However, the moment our friends over at Northrop & Johnson sent over the news of the Quantum, I couldn't help but bring it to light, especially if we consider that a one-week stay aboard this colorful and floating piece of art starts at no more than €48K, which is roughly $51K (at current exchange rates).

Oh, and things get even better when we consider that Quantum can accommodate up to eight guests. That's €6,000 ($6,400) per person to enjoy a different kind of lifestyle. Sure, other costs are bound to arise, but with a few extra thousand on hand, you should be more than fine. Or, just run ultra-low-budget, but where is the fun in that?

As for what our money will be buying, we're looking at a ship that's over 93 feet long and crafted in 2007. Nonetheless, with countless refits over the course of its life, the most recent being in 2022, this puppy is as good as new.

Now, whenever we lay eyes on something, we typically judge it based on its looks, and if you're like me, a bit needy on the attention side of things, then Quantum is sure to feed that need; its exterior paint job is bound to attract the eyes of onlookers, both land and sea-based. That whole "colorful" idea also extends to the outdoor and interior spaces too.

Starting with the uppermost deck, the sun deck, guests will have the pleasure of lounging around and soaking up as much sun as possible from a dinette, couches, dining table, the edges of the deck, or from the flybridge. If things heat up beyond comfort, ask the deckhands to unravel the bimini and enjoy.

One deck lower, we find ourselves on the main deck, where the front of the ship invites guests to even more sunlight via a forward-facing lounge. However, the rear lets us escape the heat in the shade of the superstructure above or by entering into the main saloon.

As we take our first steps into the Quantum, I have to remind you about the whole "colorful" side of things. But, don't expect some over-the-top or kitsch layout; Peri Yachts, the Turkish brand that put this baby together, is all about the taste and luxury.

That said, the main lounge invites use with an egg-shell white backdrop of walls and carpeting, accented by wooden panels and yellow splashes of color here and there. All that's balanced out with grey leather furnishings, brought to light with LEDs, and plenty of natural light let in through elongated side windows.

This color palette is also carried out in the Quantum's staterooms. Be it twin guest rooms, the VIP suite, or the master bedroom, we see a balance of that white I mentioned, yellow, and grey, too. Let's not forget the wood. Oh, and be sure to picture yourself in the midst of the master suite.

If you pull the long straw, you'll find yourself pampered with a beam-to-beam experience with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bathtub large enough for two - wink-wink - and his and her fittings. A lounge space is also found in this room, and so is a neat little work desk.

Now, before we close things off for the Quantum, allow me to bring you back outside. Why? Because this ship is ready with a plethora of outdoor activities and toys that you and your family can enjoy.

First off, there is a 4.7 m Selva tender that will be pulling you and your closest along on water skis and an inflatable tow sofa, but there are also a few paddleboards, Sea Bobs, and snorkeling gear. Best of all, these sorts of experiences do taper to guest wants and needs, so if you can think of anything else you may like to enjoy, be sure to let your broker know.

For the remainder of our time together, kick back and enjoy a bit of a daydream aboard the Quantum, and as you do, feel the cool ocean breeze through your hair, the sun crisping you up to your liking, and the sounds of familiar voices shouting in joy all around you. Honestly, it doesn't get any better, and to think, all you need is around $6,400 to get in on the action.
