Over the last few years, people have become more sensitive to their environmental footprint and more conscious of how their living choices can impact the planet. As a consequence, many have decided to downsize their living spaces and live more intentionally in a tiny house.
With the micro-home market on a rising trend, minimalistic design has now become an art, and designers are constantly looking for ways to better balance aesthetics and functionality in their builds in order to offer downsizers compact dwellings that won't make them feel like they're compromising on comfort or style.

As one of the pioneers of the tiny house movement in Europe, Poland-based Redukt has been following the changes and the evolving trends in the market to better respond to their customers' needs. This is one of the builders who focuses on creating simple, minimalist tiny homes that are constructed as sustainable as possible and offer owners the opportunity to experience the greatness of living a simple life in tight connection with nature.

The Country tiny home is their latest creation and has been designed as a mobile micro-hotel. However, the model is versatile enough to also be used as an off-grid permanent dwelling, allowing owners to reduce their environmental impact and enjoy the freedom of moving around frequently.

This delightful tiny house on wheels has a footprint of 24 per 8.5 feet (7.2 x 2.5 meters) and offers just 172 square feet (16 square meters) of usable space, but it stands out thanks to its extremely clean look, gorgeous wood build, and comfortable interior. Moreover, it is characterized by flexibility, allowing for a number of arrangements to match the preferences and expectations of owners/guests.

In terms of construction, the Country wooden cabin is based on a timber frame structure and comes with quality thermal insulation which, coupled with a high-end heating system, ensures maximum comfort all year-round.

Boasting a single-level layout with everything on the same floor, including the bedroom, and easy access to each functional area, this home on wheels makes tiny living accessible to anyone. Thanks to its bright and airy interior with tons of natural light pouring in through large windows, this home encourages a deeper connection to the outdoors. What's more, the integration of a front deck that extends the living space to the outside invites occupants to spend more time in nature.

The two cabins showcased in the photo gallery have been customized for Bento Houses, a company that plans to use them as cozy "mind and body retreats" on the edge of the forest in a beautiful location close to Warsaw. They both look the same on the outside, with darkened spruce facade boards, but each boasts a different autumn-inspired color scheme on the inside. One is light and bright, while the other is dark and moody, highlighting the flexibility of the design.

Light natural poplar plywood dominates the interior of the first one, giving it a light and airy feel. Moreover, it accentuates the minimalist, clean aesthetic while also making the interior seem more spacious. Darkened plywood adorns the second, highlighting the natural grain of the wood and enveloping those who step inside into a cozy feel. Though it might seem gloomy and moody at first, this unit also benefits from enough natural light and uses a smart lighting system to prevent it from feeling too dark.

The interior layout is centered around a functional kitchen with a dining nook, while an open bedroom and a private bathroom can be found on either side. This streamlined configuration makes it perfect for single individuals or couples. The sleeping area includes a comfortable king bed that invites relaxation, as well as spacious drawers underneath and wall shelves for your storage needs.

The fully equipped kitchen is nearby and offers a couple of cabinets and overhead shelves for keeping all your cooking essentials, a wide worktop for meal prep, and various modern appliances, such as a sink, a two-burner electric stove, and a refrigerator. As the designer puts it, it has "everything you need to enjoy time spent cooking in the rhythm of slow life."

A removable table and a couple of sleek stools can be found between the kitchen and bedroom area, providing a nice spot for dining. It can be moved next to the bed or even taken outside to enjoy your morning coffee on the front deck. A wood-burning stove is also included in the design, enhancing the feeling of coziness inside.

A discreet sliding door that blends with the surrounding wall at the end of the house separates the bathroom from the living area. Inside, you will find everything you need from a sanitary perspective, including a glass-enclosed full-size shower with a rain shower head, a sink, and a toilet.

Optionally, the Polish company can equip the Country tiny home for off-grid living for those aspiring to a self-sufficient way of living. They can install solar panels on the roof with integrated battery and inverter, a propane tank for water heating, cooking, and thermal heating, and up to 400 liters of fresh water.

Lately, Redukt has been more focused on catering to the needs of alternative hotel and hospitality businesses with high environmental values, which explains why the Country tiny home model is primarily designed as a cozy retreat for nature lovers.
