A motorbike thief, from the UK town of Barrow, was recently apprehended after advertising a bike he had stolen, on Facebook. The thief stole the Suzuki GT250M from a backstreet, as he was walking his dog.
Apparently, the bike was in very bad condition, and after trying to get it running, the thief, 20 year-old Sam Lowe decided to sell it on Facebook as a non-runner. According to the owner of the bike, he said that despite being in a very sorry state (looked like scrap), the bike was in fact a classic and needed restoring.
Mr. Lowe was fined £85 clearing the backstreet of junk stealing the bike, as well as a further £45 in court costs and a £15 victim surcharge, while also been ordered by the court to pay back the £100 he had received for the bike. After that stolen KTM and the Audi S3, this is the third similar case we've heard of in recent weeks - what is going on in the UK?
