In our fast-paced world, tiny houses have emerged as a blessing for people looking for a simpler lifestyle with less clutter, fewer distractions, and more peace and time for the people and activities they love. Usually, when they want to get away from the hustle and bustle, most people take a vacation, but others make significant changes to their lives, including downsizing their living space.
That explains why the tiny home trend has become so popular. However, this is a lifestyle change that requires flexibility and determination, as tiny living is not for everyone. Moreover, when deciding to downsize, it is essential to move into a tiny house specifically tailored to your needs and personality. Today, we introduce you to a custom tiny home like no other. It is called Silverton and comes from the deft hands of the team at Canadian Tiny Homes.

Designed as a tiny office on wheels with a sleeping space rather than a conventional tiny home, this marvelous creation reveals an unusual layout that includes not one but two study areas, a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a sleeping loft. However, it has everything needed to become the owners' main home if need be. Moreover, it stands out from the crowd with unique features like oversized windows, tall ceilings, multi-use areas, and beautiful interior finishes.

Canadian Tiny Homes is a tiny home manufacturer based in British Columbia that strongly believes that each house should be designed intentionally to suit its owner's lifestyle. The team, comprised of award-winning designers and craftsmen, has over 40 years of custom home-building experience and is dedicated to turning people's tiny living dreams into reality.

The Silverton model is a testament to their dedication, excellent craftsmanship, and attention to detail. This tiny home is built on a double-axle trailer and measures 24 feet (7.3 meters) in length. It showcases a charming exterior with light mint-colored board-and-batten siding, corrugated metal accents on the upper part, and white trim around the windows and entrance door. Mint can be a dazzling and cheerful color, but in this case, it gives the house a peaceful look and a sense of freshness and lightness.

The shed-style roof helps create more vertical interior space, and an abundance of windows maximizes natural light inside. Like most tiny houses crafted by the Canadian builder, the Silverton is designed for year-round use and is built to withstand cold weather with spray foam insulation for the walls and ceiling and Rockwool insulation for the floor.

A full-lite double door leads inside this inspiring dwelling/mobile office, which is light and bright due to its crisp white walls, high ceilings, and extensive glazing throughout. Built to allow dwellers to focus during working hours and truly connect with the surrounding nature, Silverton boasts a myriad of different-sized windows and two skylights, one above the living room and one above the loft bedroom. This ensures that owners can not only admire the outside views from any corner of the house but also stargaze at night.

As soon as you step inside, you realize this is not your usual tiny home with the traditional sofa in the living room and a large kitchen. Instead, this dwelling focuses on meeting the owners' need for designated workspaces. So, instead of creating a snug office in an unused space in the house, they turned the living room area into a boho minimalist office space that is beautifully decorated to spark creativity. Bright white walls, accent pieces like a rust-colored desk and a vintage chair, an industrial modular bookcase, lots of plants and decor perfectly pull the space together. The desk's strategic placement next to a large window and the entrance door helps enhance productivity.

However, not everything is work-related in this space, so the designers added a lounging chair next to a potted plant to create a small place to relax after a long day at work. Across from it, you'll notice a cast iron wood-burning stove that adds charm and warmth to the space.

A secondary, smaller office space is located behind the compact kitchen's separating wall. It is as charming as the larger workspace, decorated with lush greenery and a mix of vintage and industrial-style furniture pieces.

The kitchenette is small but elegant, with a timeless black and white aesthetic. It features everything you need for quick meal prep, including storage cabinets, a sink, and an undercounter fridge. The white cabinets are contrasted by a sleek black countertop, and a couple of floating shelves provide extra space for kitchen essentials.

The bathroom lies at the end of the house, hidden behind a white barn-style door and is fully functional with all the basics, including a small corner sink, a toilet, and a shower. The only loft inside this compact home can be configured either as a bedroom or as a storage space. It is accessed via a wood ladder and can accommodate a two-person mattress. A dividing wall has built-in cubicles for extra storage space.

With its unique layout and workspace functionality, the Silverton model demonstrates the versatility of tiny houses, proving that these small structures on wheels don't necessarily have to be used as homes and can serve multiple purposes. Since remote work is now more popular than ever, building or buying a tiny house on wheels to use as a rolling office or studio is not such an unusual idea for freelancers, self-employed, or people working from home who want to find a better life-work balance.
