Where tired cliches will have you believe that you can't have it all in life, nuCamp is going "hold my beer" and setting out to prove that you can – at least where teardrop trailers are concerned. This is the 2024 TAB 360 Teardrop Camper, described the embodiment of "have it all" in teardrops.
nuCamp is an Ohio-based company specializing in teardrops and other compact adventure habitats. They've been in the business long enough to know that compactness can hold more value and appeal to customers than a full set of fancy features, just like they know there will always be adventurers looking for both in a single package.

The TAB 360 Teardrop Camper is designed specifically for this customer, the kind that wants a lightweight towable, so a compact one as well, but without much compromise on available space and luxury. The idea seems paradoxical, but in a very Orwellian way, it works – minus the negative connotations of Orwell's double-speak and with the caveat that both the idea of "space" and "luxury" are relative.

First teased this spring and introduced as a prototype in early June 2024, the 2024 TAB 360 is the latest addition to the already impressive nuCamp lineup and the very popular TAB family, which you might know under the T@Bspelling as well. It's positioned between the smallest in the bunch, the TAB 320, and the largest, the TAB 400, and it brings together the best qualities of these.

That means it's compact but homey at the same time, in a way that makes nuCamp advertise it as "the lightweight option without compromise on space or luxury." In short, it lives big for its compact footprint and makes for a cozy, well-specced habitat for a couple of adventurers.

The TAB 360 is 16.8 feet (5.1 meters) in total length and offers standing height throughout the cabin, with 6.4 feet (1.95 meters) at its highest point. Dry weight is 2,600 lbs (1,179 kg), with a 2,850-lb/1,293-kg) curb weight, including a 25-gallon (94.6-liters) freshwater tank and an 18-gallon (68-liter) tank for gray.

The standard spec is the Boondock Package, which includes taller wheels with beefier tires, as well as a step and matching handle. There's also the classic option, but it too will include skinny 180W solar panels on the roof and the same interior layout with two single beds, a small galley, and a compact wet bathroom.

One of the twin beds becomes the dinette by day, while the other bed can be used as a sofa for extra guests to sit on. The galley at the front includes a glass-top sink and dual-burner propane range, with plenty of storage underneath in drawers and cabinets. A new addition here is a tall and skinny 5 cu-ft (141-liter) fridge with freezer, the largest ever to make an appearance in a nuCamp trailer.

The bathroom is just about as small as you'd expect one to be in such a compact towable, but it still has small sink by the cassette toilet, in addition to a shower. The cassette of the toilet is removable from the outside, so you can empty it without moving the trailer.

Storage is just one of the innovations of the TAB 360, as compared to its siblings, aside from offering standing height throughout. It lives very much like a tiny home on the road not just because it's able to pack in the basic creature comforts, but because of the storage options available.

The TAB 360 features one large opening window on each of the four walls, which is very helpful in creating the impression of a much larger space. Mood lighting and a couple of solid entertainment options, like radio and a smart TV hooked up to speakers, also help turn the space into a home-like habitat. Unlike the other TAB trailers, the TAB 360 includes storage just about everywhere some kind of options could be fitted, including in the smaller nooks that would have otherwise gone unused.

The exterior features also aim to turn this compact towable into a rolling tiny home. You get a larger diamond-plate storage box on the tongue, which can be retrofitted to older models, that can fit all the necessary camping gear and the propane canister in a separate compartment, an exterior shower with hot and cold water, and railings for awnings and extensions.

The TAB 360 can be further upgraded, with nuCamp offering the Black Canyon Package, which adds extra solar panels, tank heaters, and red underglow lights, and the Lithium Upgrade, which almost triples the size of the battery and throws in a 3000W inverter-charger to offer actual off-grid capabilities.

Naturally, these upgrades come at an extra cost, but there's no word yet on what that might be. The TAB 360 is yet to reach the nuCamp dealership network and has only been "out" in prototype form, but an estimated delivery timeline is for this summer, with an MRSP under $44,000.
