Ladies and gentlemen drivers, prepare to be teleported to a parallel future where global warming may have affected driving, but instead of all cars becoming SUVs, drivers simply don’t give a damn about ground clearance and all its implications.
Yes, we know, the intro above may sound a bit on the odd side, but it’s the only reasonable explanation we could find for what happens in the video below. The clip takes us to an event where some of the lowest cars on the market drive off the road without the slightest form of hesitation.

It all starts with a Lamborghini Aventador, which drifts gracefully on a field. It even seems the Raging Bull is attacking the grass without its nose lift on. The rear wheels tear up the grass, the V12 sings like a maxion of destruction, all the right stuff is present.

During its sideways stint, the Aventador meets an Alfa Romeo MiTo, a model whose nose feels as low as that of a supercar. Then there’s the R56 Mini John Cooper Works Hardtop, which easily rivals the Mito in terms of the limited ride height.

All this alternative future driving seems to have taken place at Goodwood, a place that’s all too used to seeing go-fast machines doing all sorts of stuff that shouldn’t happen.

Perhaps the Rosso Mars Aventador was simply protesting against the British weather and considered its all-wheel-drive system is enough to complete the task. Well, as the video goes on to show us, it was.
