Incredible use of space, design innovation, gorgeous personal heirlooms, and clever functionality – there simply can't be enough good things said about this house on wheels. It boasts everything a single owner could wish for, from top-notch amenities that ramp up comfort levels to easy maintenance and brilliant style. This is Daisy Vera, a gorgeous Kiwi tiny home with off-grid capabilities and one of the most impressive custom tiny homes out there.
When you say "Build Tiny," you say exceptional quality and amazing design innovation. Although this New Zealand-based company is unfortunately no longer active, it has left behind a heritage that is sure to pass the test of time. One of the world's top experts in creating and delivering custom tiny homes, this Kiwi brand gave the world a treasure trove of smart ideas and original concepts that helped take tiny living to the next level.

The beautiful Daisy Vera is unique in many ways. It was custom-built for a single owner and featured a special combination of personalized décor using heirloom items and rugged off-grid capabilities. In the end, Daisy Vera Tiny looked and felt truly special and full of personality. There can be no other house on wheels exactly like Daisy Vera, but its vibrant style and clever amenities can certainly inspire others to step up their tiny living game. In other words, why settle for a boring, basic dwelling when you could have a dream home that perfectly matches your personality?

Unlike many of the Build Tiny creations, Daisy Vera doesn't reveal an unusual layout. It's rather classic in this regard, featuring the typical open-concept ground level with a lounge, a kitchen, and a separate bathroom, and the standard dual-loft layout with a bigger loft configured as a bedroom and a smaller one meant exclusively for storage.

Daisy Vera stands out in terms of functionality and style. Functionality was enhanced through well-crafted, multi-functional furniture items that saved a ton of space. In the kitchen, for instance, the countertop boasts a large foldable extension that doesn't only increase the cooking surface, but also turns into a practical breakfast bar with one or two seats. Whenever this section's not in use, the standard countertop takes up minimal space, keeping the ground-floor pathways clear for a smooth flow.

The staircase connecting the ground floor to the bedroom loft is another clever addition. We often see staircases with integrated storage in tiny homes with one or two lofts, but this is an upgraded version that offers customized storage, including a very spacious pull-out pantry.

Next to it, additional cupboards and shelves provide even more easy-to-reach storage. The compartments under the countertop even include pull-out garbage bins; all of this translates to an excellent organization that keeps this small kitchen clutter-free without much effort. It also makes room for all the required appliances, including a fridge, a gas cooktop/oven with a vented range, and a washing machine.

Daisy Vera's bathroom hides one of the most impressive storage items ever seen inside a tiny home bathroom. This multi-functional storage unit is both tall and deep. Its exterior looks like a wooden bookcase-style unit with multiple shelves, and as it slides out, it reveals the interior component built similarly to the pull-out metal pantry in the kitchen area. Due to its slim, tall shape, this storage unit takes up minimal space while taking advantage of the room's height. It's such a clever hack that we think every tiny home bathroom should come with one of these. Even the bathroom's sliding pocket door is a smart space-saving solution that adds to this home's impressive functionality.

Style-wise, it's the personal details brought by the owner and seamlessly integrated by the builder that shape Daisy Vera's memorable personality. Overall, this house on wheels boasts the typical Aussie look with a focus on open spaces and practicality, but these unique touches add an expected layer that makes Daisy Vera stand out.

As soon as you step inside, your eyes are drawn to the beautiful Turkish pendant light in the lounge and the oversized stained glass window on the side wall. Both of them were heirloom pieces from the owner's private collection. The colorful window with a unique pattern had graced the walls of two houses prior to Daisy Vera; the Build Tiny team then carefully encased it into a double-gazed unit before installing it – it became this custom tiny home's signature feature, noticeable from the outside as well as on the inside.

While these two beautiful items added a mysterious, sophisticated touch to the home's cozy lounge with a big sofa and a classic coffee table, a different kind of item was used to beautify the bathroom. It wasn't a vintage piece but a custom one made by an Auckland-based furniture maker specializing in tiny home cabinetry. This beautiful vanity with a statement sink added a pop of color to the bathroom, tied in with the other oriental-style décor elements.

And if the beautiful Daisy Vera wasn't special enough (even the name is a tribute to the owner's grandmothers), it was also endowed with a solar package for self-sufficiency regardless of the location. Together with the composting toilet, this made Daisy Vera overall eco-friendlier and sustainable in the long run.

These are all impressive qualities for a compact house on wheels that is just a little over seven meters (23.6 feet) in length and a regular 2.4-meter (7.8 feet) width. Plus, Daisy Vera was completed right when the pandemic-related isolation kicked off, making it the perfect private haven for safety and comfort – one more argument in favor of mobile, self-sufficient homes.
