The Tesla Cybertruck has come to the market as this UFO-looking EV that can work on the farm during the day and take you to the opera in the evening without looking out of place in any of the locations. Well, it is built to be every inch a workhorse, and some owners are using it to the max. This one, for instance, hunted roof racks on his Cybrtruck.
A head-turner. A show-stopper. A head-scratcher. You can either love it or hate it, label it as futuristic or as the ugliest thing currently on the road. We have heard them all over these past five years after Elon Musk officially unveiled the pickup truck trying to prove it is rough and tough but breaking its windows in the process.

Well, it turns out that it is rough and tough, even though it might not be nearly as bulletproof as Elon Musk said it would be at first. But it is one hell of a foot soldier and this video proves it.

For some, all the capabilities that the Cybertruck rolled off the production line of the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, might not be enough. It is the case for this owner who decided to install roof racks on his vehicle. He needed custom roof racks, because the shape of the Cybertruck is unlike anything currently on the market.

The structure was mounted over the cabin, stretching above the load bed of the pickup truck. It is not exactly a high-quality installation, but a homemade product, considering the welding and bending that were necessary for the racks to fit the Cybertruck.

The roof racks seem to be bolted to the edge of the bed, where the control buttons for the tonneau cover are. That tonneau cover can withstand 300 pounds (136 kilograms) on its own, but from the videos, it is unclear if the owner still has access to the buttons located next to it or can only open it from inside the vehicle.

And that is not all. The dual-motor Cybertruck Foundation Series can haul up to 2,500 pounds (1,134 kilograms). And the owner of the vehicle is using this to the max. He put pallets on the roof. Those seem to be almost as long as the Cybertruck, which measures 223.74 inches (5,683 millimeters) in length.

Furthermore, several men load packages of pink fiberglass insulation, one on top of another, into the bed of the truck. They do not look that heavy, though, but they take up a lot of space. The super-tough composite bed doesn't need a liner, Tesla says, and it is big enough for materials measuring 4' x 8'.

Considering how loaded this truck is, it is a miracle that the owner did not tow anything with it. The Cybertruck comes with a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds (4,990 kilograms), which is the weight of an average African elephant. We have already seen it towing large trailers.

It was also spotted towing trailers with various vehicles, such as a DeLorean DMC-12 or the world's best-selling car in 2023, the Tesla Model Y. But that DeLorean was as light as a feather for the almighty electric pickup truck.
