The high performance version of the F20 1 Series, the M135i, drew the attention of everyone when it was released. One particular tuner decided to take it even further.
It's the case of AC Schnitzer, one of BMW's oldest partners in the automotive industry. The German company created an even more powerful version of the 1er, exploiting every cubic centimeter of the 3-liter engine.
Their version has 360 HP and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque that allows it to further improve performance to outstanding levels. The upgraded version will go to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 4.7 seconds, whilst the 80 to 180 km/h (50-112 mph) will take 10.8 seconds (2.1 seconds faster than the stock car).
Engine performance aside, the ACS 1er even looks different. It has a redesigned front bumper, new wheels and a new suspension. Even the exhaust has been changed to create a meaner tune and help the engine 'breathe' more easily.
